Randy,

I tried to pay by credit card, but got a "declined due to error" message.

I wanted to hear from you before trying again.

Is your script case sensitive? I entered my email as name@xxxx.net, but I registered for the group buy as name@XXXX.net. Also wondering if the credit card number should be entered as 1111222233334444 (contiguous) or 1111 2222 3333 4444 (as it appears on the card)?

Thanks.

The script isn't case sensitive...

The card number can be entered either way, shouldn't make a difference... Please try again and let me know if you keep getting this error...

Also, be sure that the "name" that you input matches exactly as it appears on the card... Also, only Visa & MasterCard are accepted...no Discover or Amex..

Thanks,

Randy

Randy,

Can you PM me the name as it appears on your card and I'll investigate this to find out what the problem is...

Thanks!

You're welcome...

What's so frustrating is that I know what the problem is, and I keep telling the host what the problem is, but they won't listen... It's a memory leak within IIS...or an application running in conjunction with IIS on the server... The short term-quick fix remedial measure is to re-start IIS and clear up the memory...until they can research further to find out what the real problem is... SO for now, I wished they'd just restart IIS!

Is this shared hosting or dedicated? I've got about a dozen site on shared hosting--and they are so reluctant to fix anything with my sites if it means restarting a service that the others use. Of course, I don't have anything transactional like this--just a touch of SQL here and there--so I don't have your headaches.

Thanks again.

Hi Randy (and all),

I'm wondering what is the current status of the server to accept payments without error? I'd like to pay up via credit card today, but don't want to attempt it if there will be an XML Parser error.

Please keep us updated and let us know when it is good to go again.

Thank you for all your amazing dedication and work on this!

It's shared... I would have gotten dedicated, but at the time, I didn't need it (before this GB). Shortly after the GB started, it was time to renew my account. I told the host what I was going to be doing with the GB..etc., and they said there was no need to upgrade to dedicated... THEN after I paid up, bought the SSL...etc., all of this trouble started with the XML Parser... I've offered to upgrade to dedicated hosting IF THEY WILL GUARANTEE ME IN WRITING, that I'll not see these XML Parser errors anymore... and they won't guarantee anything...so I'm not throwing more cash at it...

I just wanted to get past this payment part of the GB, then, I'll start migrating to another server... I just didn't want to shake the apple cart during this part of the GB... But while we're waiting for the products to be manufactured, I'll be moving the site elsewhere...

Chance....I PM'd you about a problem im having...did you get the PM???

I PM'd Chance about this but I will ask to see if anyone else has had similar problems since getting the refund from Paypal....My order came to around $900. Paypal refunded my money to my paypal account but it seems that I have a limit ($500/month) to how much I can transfer to my bank account. Since the money came out of my bank acct. to pay the first time, why cant I just transfer the full ammount back to my bank acct.? Since I can only transfer $500, I may have to reduce my order....anyone have any advice?

I just tried to pay for my order with a credit card, and got the following message:

msxml3.dll error '80070008'

Not enough storage is available to process this command.

/MUSICIANSWORKSHOP/UserConsole/CheckOut.asp, line 71
