If there's a carrier service out there that's NEVER lost a package, I"ve yet to hear about them. I don't think how any company performs on one cherry-picked incident isn't really relevant. What would be relevant is how they dealt with you and others in similiar situations AFTER the package was lost. Also relevant would be the percentage of packages lost or damaged.

My hunch is that all the services are probably very reliable but without real numbers there's no way to really know. :confused:

I'm sure too, that they all have their short-comings... Me, personally, I've never had anything but exceptional service from UPS. I live so far back in the sticks that FedEx just delivers here 2 days per week, on Tuesday & Thursday...even if you send something to me overnight via FedEx, it won't get delivered until the following Tuesday or Thursday regardless... UPS delivers everyday here though...so does the US Mail...

I ordered some RAM for my computer about 5 years ago, and had it shipped overnight... The person that I bought it from didn't tell me who they would use to ship it, and they used DHL... 14 days later the RAM shows up at my door... By this time, I'd driven the 3 hours to Atlanta and bought 2 sticks anyways...

ONE MORE DAY! (I thought it would never come) Over the weekend I will be totaling up everything, then submitting it to the manufacturer. I expect to have the invoice (from the manufacturer) by mid-week. Then the funds get transfered. Once that is complete, they build and we wait. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress. I might even ask them for some digipix that I can post.
I'll be board-hoping today and tomorrow to answer any last minute questions.

I don't mean to raise alarm or anything, but I was wondering about there being any possible setbacks or anything resulting from the earthquake?

I realize Chengdu is a long way from Beijing, not that we even know where the factory is, but one might surmise it's in Beijing. But who knows? Have you talked to the factory at all since the quake? Have they been effected? I'm surprised nobody has brought this up yet.

Yes, it acutally works...

This is the button that I put there after several of you asked to make donations directly to me. I don't have a "real" merchant account and PayPal was the only method that I had to electronically receive funds...

Go ahead and try the button out... Just click it, and after you log in to PayPal, just enter $1000.00 or more, then click PAY! :D:D:D:D:D:D

Randy,

I was able to login to the user console this morning and I entered my info to pay via credit card. When I clicked pay now, I got an "Error Declined". After checking the info, I realized I fumble-fingered the credit card expiration date. I corrected it and clicked pay now again. This time I got a "Declined Duplicate Transaction" error.

What can be done to correct this so I can pay? It's getting close to the deadline and I don't want to miss out after all the stuff this GB has been through.

It's not for comedic relief, it's there to help support Randy's efforts in making this GB go so smoothly. As many hassles as there have been, there would probably have been 10X's as many without all the hard work he's put in for US. And he's done it out of the goodness of his heart. Add to that the fact that he wasn't able to get all the mics he wanted and several of us thought a donation would be a nice gesture. After going thru the payment procedure last night, it went so easily that I just paypalled him a second "donation". Really, he deserves a lot more, but a little from everyone will get him more mics!!! And we ALL need more mics!! :D:D:D

Stay online. We'll get this fixed while you're here... Let me check the virtual terminal and see if your payment went through... It sounds like it did by the Duplicate error you got...

Just paid... the approval was so quick like it didn't even take 1/2 a second. BTW I'm from Canada and in the shipping info I can't select any 'State' so I put the province name along side with the city line, is that ok? Two side questions:

- what does TnC stands for?
- is Chance actually going to commercialize his products in the near future?
- if there'll ever be another GB, what are some other potential products that may be available (e.g. 2x pre-only box)?

I'll answer what I can, and let Chance answer the rest:

The way that you listed your province, is Ok.. BUT REMEMBER, that you still need to enter your shipping information in the User Console..this is where you order will be shipped to, we're not tracking the address's that you enter when you make payment...

TnC stands for - Terry - n - Chance

hey chance, not sure what your plans are for retail, but this Son Set Productions guy has some HORRIBLE writeups for your mics. Dude puts quotation marks around everything...

Examples:
Made to California Engineer specifications that are very "high end".
You can "go to" This for ANYTHING!
"OMG" (no i'm not making this up)
The SOUND Is Very "WORLD Class".
As of "right now" we are Selling T N C Microphones
This is a "High end" Small TUBE CONDENSER

i think the retail prices he's got going are very reasonable! way less than other mics in their class, but enough so that he can make it worth his while. however, it might be worth having some standard retail writeups for each of these mics. maybe you're on this already and if that's the case, this message will self destruct, but i thought it was worth mentioning. this guy's lack of writing skills really makes it difficult to take the products seriously...

Thanks for your reply... You're referring to the "PERSONAL Shipping Information" in the console, right? That's what I was talking about where there's no place for "Province" so I just put the province name besides the city.
