Groove Tubes "The Brick" Anyone tried it ?

hi,

has anyone tried the new groove tubes The Brick mic pre/di ? I keep hearing people slagging of "cheap" tube gear like the ivory range of tl audio and so on... so i was wondering if this is any different..... maybe some of the vipre's magic rubbed of on this 500 euro pre ....

Anyone try one of these out yet? This thing is supposed to be a "real" tube pre, not just a starved-plate tube-enhanced preamp. Looks good and a friend of mine may be interested in one. Any pertinent feedback/info would be helpful and appreciated!
