Many people made perfectly fine posts, but quoted the dodgier posts that I have zapped - so I decided to just remove the snappy answers and the comments that generated it. It also means a few fine posts had to go to because they were talking about stuff gone.

People still use the report button? Which "that" got the report button working overtime? I hope it wasn't I, in attempt to divert direction away from unnecessary absolute abhorrent trashing of one of America's most beloved, respected, and often heard...a lot, I mean the f-ing guy was everywhere...musicians and vocalists. I blame alcohol, I was probably drunk....say no to drugs, kids, gateways and all that dumbfoolery.

Retraction, I was wrong about that guitarist guy backing all those self righteous Cali music artists. His name isn't Wenchall, or even Wally. It is Waddy, Waddy Watchel. I apologize and offer a full retraction. He has no history of child molestation in his past, none that has been made public. If I intimated such, it was wrong of me to do so. Child porn was found on a computer he took in for repairs. Also found that he had made copies of said porn, found in his home. He plead no contest, received a few months probation and donated some cash, for the children, as they say. No harm no foul, all forgiven I reckon, he continued to be hired for session and touring work. I mean, for the children, yeah, but how many guitarists are there out there for proficient and tasty contribution to some of the West Coast's finest recording artists. Well, probably quite a few, but still, it's Waddy, c'mon.

Leland Sklar, no information made public of any inappropriate activity concerning children. I was wrong to bring his name into the discussion/topic. Benefit of the doubt, he may have never been aware of the conviction of his good buddy Waddy for possession of child porn. Or, you know, stones, glass houses, and whatnot. It's a figure of speech.

In fairness to JD Souther who for some reason unlike most others in that circle missed out on all that fame and wealth, i'll repost the vid I think has been deleted. Missed out, maybe he was a d*ck, maybe he just refused to play whatever game required. Anyway, he has a nice voice. Song reminds me of an old girlfriend, he also looks like a now deceased old friend who I was lucky enough to nick a few git licks. We'll just try to ignore Wally. Scuse, Waddy. Waddy Watchel, plead no contest to possession of child porn.

 
Oh, another thing. Remember when I said without looking said beloved artist (MM) played keys on the song above?....See, I might have been drunk, but I wasn't that drunk. I was wrong. It's the one below. Keys, yes. Vocals no. Respected and beloved artist or not, when The Everly Brothers are singing you keep your gob shut.

 
Surprised nobody has mentioned this one for headphones. Although, personally, I think I prefer it in full sun while working out on the property, swinging an axe or mattock, perhaps exceeding proper volume. Added benefit, when fences make good neighbors falls short, allows the neighbors contemplation of the crazy one may or may not be capable.

Maybe not inappropriate children stuff - but I know for a fact that he's been caught watching doggy/kitty videos on stage at award show rehearsals by the likes of Tim Pierce. So there's that.

Woah there guys -- did my triple birdflip get reported too?? Obviously a misunderstanding -- it was in response to the Lee Sklar "hate" (lol) -- that's his, erm, signature symbol.

For the record, some people consider posting certain hip-hop lyrics or songs acceptable -- y'all know what I mean. This is a music site, and not only is the aforementioned symbol allowed, but you should probably not be reporting online forum content unless it is directed at you. Lesson in adulthood mates!

I really don't care for Lee or Wally but somehow the artists I love thought them worthy enough to play with them :unsure:

I exited the thread a few pages earlier, like I said I would, so I missed the whole "children" part of the conversation. But if I was a Tibeten man, I'd bet everything on the fact that nobody reported your posts. I'm pretty sure any reported posts were made by and against the same person.
 
I'm not sure if it was this thread or another, but relevant...

I watched Rob's thread on for lack of a better description on my part, hearing loss. Thanks for posting that, Rob, and doing to work. Very interesting, although my dogs weren't so pleased. My hearing cut off at 10k. Nothing above that. Rob mentioned for himself 12k was there, although the volume was diminished, if I recall correctly.

I try to stay away from headphones, the unnecessary use of. Given all the abuse over the years, loud amps, standing next to a drum kit....it still kind of amazes me hearing the drums during say soundcheck being so cringingly loud it doesn't seem quite so once everyone joins in...why unnecessarily push it, more abuse. I do have tinnitus, self diagnosed. It'll drive you crazy if you let it. I recently spent some time with one of my aunts and my uncle by marriage. They worked for years in the restaurant business from sun up to sun down. Home cooking type place, age related decision closed it recently. Loud clanging dishes, people talking, etc. day after day. They both wear hearing aids now. Pretty extreme hearing loss, especially him. We didn't get in a big discussion about it, but she mentioned her's started with ringing in her ears.

That would suck to for all practical purposes to go deaf. Take care of your hearing. Enjoyable as it may be at times, might be wise to avoid loud headphones.

Thread should possibly come with a disclaimer, a warning. To each their own, proceed with caution.
