Great Basses...please keep it in the 3 figure range

- OLP (musicman clone) can be found 5string for under €500
- any fender jazz bass, though I'm not fond of the active series, their pickups distort easily.
Marcus Miller model is €999
- Yamaha TRB is ok, or if you want 6string: RBX6 John Myung: €800
- There exist Warwicks under $1000 but I'm no fan of Warwick.

Check second hand.

It all depends what kind of style of music you want to play . I have a Fender Precision which I am quite happy with its live sound . I know there are better guitars out there but it does the job nicely enough for me . The problem was I could not get a nice recording sound . I picked up a very cheap Tanglewood for about $50 . It is far superior for recording but not as good live . I think I got lucky with the pick ups on the Tanglewood . It all is trial and error . What is good for one person is bad for another .
 
i'm doing basslines for rap, R&B basically music thats usually synthetic

can yall give me some for under 500 too??

If you are looking for a nice 4 string you can find these used for under $1000 and they sound amazing.
