Got a PR30 and PR40 both for $300 today!

Online score. Can't wait to get 'em - they're used but both have cases and look clean (do the PR30s now come with cases? This one did). The PR40 was recommended to me by quite a few people instead of an RE27, now I'll have both. I was probably gonna pick up a PR30 at some point, but the price for both was too good to pass up!

These are sweet mics...I've used the pr40 on bass and it sounds awesome...I have to a/b it with my re27 on kick drum.

(just a heads up...there appears to be a similar deal on guitar center's used site...both mics for about $300!)

so what do you think of them? you should have them by now right?

which do you like better on what? I LOVE the pr20 element in the classic bodies, I own them and use them daily for pro work. they look great obviously but they also sound amazing for vocals guitars a in the room. TERRIBLE mount isolation though, you need good stands on concrete based floors for these babies. not a problem for me but could be for many.

I'm loving the PR40 for bass cabs...I've been using it all the time.
The PR30 has gotten some time on guitar cabs.

I'm very happy with both so far. THey haven't gotten extensive use on a variety of things yet, but they were definitely a steal.

There's a PR30 for $124 on guitar centers used site still!
