I just got my new computer (3.4G P4 1G RAM & all the trimmings!) I imported my other hard drive that has all of my Sonar & music related stuff on it and installed Sonar2 on the new HD. In order to install it I had to change my direct X settings back to version 8.1 and then switch it forward to version 9. I had to do this on my other computer as well.
The problem is, is that even though Sonar is installed on my computer, when I click the icon (desktop or programs menu) NOTHING HAPPENS! The hourglass icon comes on for a few seconds and then goes away...instead of opening the program. I have tried a number of things to remedy this, ie. switch the direct X version back to 8.1, re-install the software, change other settings dealing with Sonar.
Is there something i'm missing? Could it be a prob with the new comp? (All other programs work) I still have all of my Sonar related files stored on my other (slave/storage) HD...could that be a problem...i don't know why it would be. I know the software is not corrupted, because I loaded it onto a different computer that has never had it on there and it worked just fine.
Anybody got any ideas...?
