Staying home from work...especially to record new material... no better reason... and makes for a great day, eh?

cool...2001 space jams intro.... You don't get many "filter sweeps" from you!!

just awesome man. Great, "regular" rock and roll lead there... with Chewbaca coming in there to beef!!...

then...things settle down after everyone takes a sip (or a toke) (1:13)

just such a mutha friggin full production.

I gotta steal your vocal patches somehow... I don't get the same stuff with my gear..

nice stuff, maniac!! ...you need an Arp2500 or some monster...well..actually you don't... this was mighty(dog) impressive!!

Downloading......

Powerful as usual! You have captured a mood with this one! Excellent. BTW I love the intro to this one..

Now.. The drums are loops? Machine? They are a little lacking but I am no authority on drums because mine suck badly.

Great job!

Oh, damn... it's 2 am and I'm tired and a bit drunk. Did I mention my dialup condition? Okay, never mind... hang on... You're on a roll these days...

Cool sounds. Lots of experimentation. Big thick mix. Good guitar playing. That panning stuff you were doing during the breakin the middle really kick ass on headphones.

That guitar part that did all the "sliding up" might have been a little on the abrasive side. Nothing big though. On second listen, I don't think I'd change it.

Little distortion at :37-:38? Not sure. Another one at 1:44, and 1:53. Don't quite know what it is, but I'm hearing something.

Good job as per usual.

We must have the same Friday schedule. It seems like we always post stuff at about the same time when it's on a Friday. :)

WALL

OF

SOUND.

If there's a perfect definition for that phrase, this song is probably it.

Dude that some seriously good stuff. Kinda happily dark. It's a stroll through a strange world, and none of it sounds familiar. Love it. I very much like the title too.

I think it could use more kick.

Other than that I've really got nothing to suggest. Nice one!

Tom

Man thats freakn cool. I love the sounds you get out of your guitar. Never heard anything like it. 100% B.SABBATH
Really nice guitar playing too.

Scott.

well-titled

yeah, you're coming into your fullness (as the actress said to the bishop)

this is excellent - who needs vocals on a tune like this? it says everything that needs to be said... I'm thinking that not having to do vocals is kinda freeing you up somehow

I'm really enjoying this, and I think when sluice said: "Kinda happily dark. It's a stroll through a strange world, and none of it sounds familiar. Love it" there's nothing I'd take issue with except the 'none of it sounds familiar' bit. See, it sounds like you, but you've gone and done a successful variation on you, if you know what I mean, that takes it into new new territory

Stop fucking around. I want an album. You've got till the end of the year. Then we bomb all your basses.

BTW and FWIW: you're light years away from Black Sabbath. I'd rather listen to this 6 days of the week.

Now now... There's weird guitar riffage, there's the instantly recognisable Sam solo tone. Also, some weirdness as usual. So this can't be bad :D Loud and spacey. These things are more trippy than before it seems. I'm starting to get worried :D Good eerie mood music. Perfect for a Lynch film or something.

I listened again and noticed the beautiful middle section with the guitar kinda weeping there. Is that your wah there?

'the beautiful middle section'

exactly

this one's like pink floyd that just can't wait

Jeez... who first? Sam or Tom??? Coin flip?

Damn straight... mix... the "heavy hitters" they are... where have they been??? :D Thank god you guys finally got here.

It's a wide open thing... clean... spacious... ride cymbal getting lost... excellent, emotional lead playing... the strange, cyber-frog stuff ear-to-ear very very .... yeah... that word... pick one ... that rhymes with "mule" ;)

Listen #2: Close encounters spaceship comes down, and lands on Sam's ... Roland... it widens out to cover the surface of earth... there are the robotic frogs... signature sam-leads... that snare's in a weird place, eh? Up high, and to the right... but it's working...

Notice you're using triplets and grace notes in your solos... they ARE getting more complex now :)

Listen #3: Trying to pick out mix problems... but it's mostly a synth bed... nice bass sounds, BTW... superlow... like those cool jeans the young chicks are wearing now.. yeah, that's right... ass-show-ers.

Geez... nothing is sticking out as a major mix problem, here. It's pretty clean... all it lacks is your voice... and about 20 more listens to digest it more... once it's in my veins it -- you know, that's it.

All your songs have that in common. No matter how many tracks... no matter what instrument you use... they're all contigious, alive, and they make sense ... together. They're not musical "lies"... they exist because they're real, they're alive-sounding, and because you wrote them. Says something about you, man. Your music says you're one honest SOB.

Broken record-- but, thanks for being here, 'micide.

What a MOOD you were able to set with this one.
You could say you paint with a very broad brush.
All those layers of sound carefully woven.

You can't hear this kind of originality anywhere else.

VERY Impressive.

Makes it hard for the rest of us to post our stuff though:)

We are having some heavy weather down here. Lookin out the window, the soundtrack is way ahead of the weather, damn near need a bigger storm to even come close. :)

This is what I`ve been waiting, expecting to hear from you. Unique, powerful, full, flowing, HEAVY, seamless, tasteful, and Signature. It`s got all dat.... Love that analog patch on the synth, it be supaphat... Guitar is warmer sounding.

Cool soundscape. I like those sounds that come in, like belches and burps from the bowels of hell.

Mixing at low volume these days?

;)

Sounds really full. My JBL's were really trying to handle that subsonic stuff, but couldn't quite hang except on the freqs where they can get the desk & floor to play along. I'm re-arranging some things in here so the big Altecs are down at the moment. I'll post a low-end report later when I get 'em in position.

I think maybe the guitar tone is a bit harsh up high on the first, and second heavy part. It's OK on the "beautiful middle". "Froggy" synth is a tad heavy in the low mids.

This mix is also really loud. A little limiting going on in there? :D

Really nice mood set on this one. Again it makes me think of stuff in cool movies going on when i listen. I like the "talking" guitars, pretty cool stuff, good seaming on all the changes. ..Booomaya Ali..

Your music says you're one honest SOB.
I'll second that!;) ...man I thurst for the quality some of you guy's are getting...hell a lot of you guy's:D . I'm listening on 20/20's Sam, I already know your using the same...the low end sounds tight over here..but you know my ears aint much:) . I would of liked that snare up some maybe..liked the sound of it. Gtr work..alway's up and above anything i've ever heard, one of a kind man..one of a kind! You still can't do any vox at your new place? Run those fuckers out man!:D Loved it Sam.

Now this is the shiznit! I love instrumental stuff and this just drew me right in from the get-go.

Great sounding mix!

This had your signiture as a musician from the first note. I want more :D

And yes, I want a cd also.

** question......your guitar has some nice sustain in your recordings I've heard. You playing with a small amp near ya for the sustain or is the pod/j station doing it all?

Keep it comin' man.
