sorry to bump this thread but I had to respond and say thanks!

I have lots of catching up to do so I'll be brief..

I agree with everything negative said, like pushing the levels to the point of distortion and also the low drums, the possible harshnesss etc.. it was supposed to be more of a percussion bongo type beat and the freaky synth stuff was supposed to sound like machines............. gossiping..

oh boy... :D

if I missed someones thread let me know... I'll be searching the backpages for a day or two..

I used 2 synths on this tune.. a Roland XV 20-20 and an Alesis QS 6.1.. all the keys were sent through a Behringer mixer for e.q. and low cuts etc.. (yes I know Behringer sucks but it's all I have)

The drums were programmed in Fruity Loops, but the sounds came from a Roland TD-8..

The guitars were done with this chain -- guitar tuned to C#, into some Boss pedals, into a Pod Pro, into a Blue Max compressor.. I did some e.q. stuff..

I appreciate all the comments very much..

thanks

Very cinemagraphic

Kind of like Stanley Kubrick meets Jean Michael Jarre kind of sound. I don't know of anything to change--it isn't trying to be anything but what it is and that is a beautiful thing.

I just dl'd this again.

I have to say this is just fabulous. The subtley, the different textures, the subterranean moods, it's inspirational

Man, glad I have a fast connection

Now that is full of sound.

Not really my kind of thing--but it's good. great title, they should play this at science fiction symposiums.

Nothing to say on the mix, so much there but it all works together. Guess you got it right.
