Just wondering if this is a good way to setup your studio, and if anyone else is running things similar:
Have all outboard I/O's going through patchbay and multing outputs on all outboard, one to the patchbay (where you patch in to your A/D's whatever your needing to record) and the other to a mixer which is used entirely for monitoring. So every outboard output has a channel on the mixer, but it in no way affects what is going to tape, and less signal path to tape
I probably worded that a bit funny, but if anyone is doing something similar, or could suggest an alternative, please chime in
Cheerz
