Good Recording software for Linux

Hello -- Just wanted to get some recommendations for recording software for Ubuntu Linux.

I have Garage Band on my Mac; I think that can work, but if not, are there other recording software that you can recommend for OS X High Sierra?

Reaper runs natively on Linux, PC and Mac.

Two others are LMMS and Ardour, both of which are open source and free. I looked at Ardour, but didn't care for it as much as Reaper. Plus the same Reaper files can be used on Mac, PC and Linux.
