Hi,

I'm a guitarist/singer looking for advice on good headset mics for live performance. What should I be looking for?

Thanks,

Karl

Check out the Shure UT UHF Wireless mic system. It has a WH-20 headset mic. Probably around 4-500 bucks.

Be sure to get a good one, cheap headset mics are the WORST sounding mics out there, find one you like then A/B compare it to a Shure SM58 which is the industry standard for live vocal mics, listen especially for clarity and fullness in the lower midrange.

 I am unsure why you would want a headset?!?

You cant hide snorts or caughs or little slips of the tongue because you cant stand away from the mic.

This doesn't really solve your problem, but for ONE NIGHT I wore a harp-bra with a SM57 stuffed in there... hehe, boy, I was TRASHED that night... it worked the same as a headset, though. Funny funny...

 If your mic was in your Bra, did u leave your boobs @ home?
