Hi there,
I'm looking for get my studio going agian. Before, I was borrowing headphones and the like from my friends, that's no long eracceptable. THe headphones he had were sub-par...bought from radio shack, barely fit comfortably, etc. Is there a good pair of closed back headphones you guys recommend for recording? I'd be partial to a pair I could use both on the person being recorded and on the audio engineer. I was considering semi-open back headphones, but that would cause some "bleed through" in the mic if the person recording is using them.

Hoping to spend <$200/pair.

Thanks in advance!

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 pros that I am a pretty big fan of. Also I know Audio-Technica makes some good sets as well.

If you can afford them, the Sennheiser HD 25-1 II

If you can't - the HD 380 Pro (I would have these over the 280).

Another vote for the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro, one of the best values in closed-back headphones.

My ears like 'em,
Will

Look into Sennheiser. They have a good line of affordable closed headphones.
And some of them you can even buy spare parts for.
