It's not so odd really. I think people are basically clanish by nature and when danger threatens to shake their realm, like a herd of elephants, they circle up butt checks together and a lot of methane is released into the atmosphere.

Also most people like to stay positive....myself included. Sometime the dam breaks however.

I'd not have discovered this site if it weren't for the thread from Shack so I reckon good has come of it.

I'm one of the fanboys from the Fasoft site,but hey,I'm not a fool,the more opinions the better---and I posted such a message there under another user name.
(which i'll divulge here if you just HAVE to know...ha ha)

N-track IS a good piece of software in a money to features comparasin,and I think the odd bug for some users ( not all) has to be expected.

We'd all like it be totally perfect,and when i first bought it,was a bit annoyed at what I percieved to be insurmountable problems.

I've discovered that if you get a build that works for you,whatever you don't change it....ok not perfect by any means but for less than 50 bucks..... c'mon.

I'll be coming back and checking with you guys more often, and I reckon you'll get a few of us from the other board.

I'm sure we've all got something to share,so let's all stay open minded,and live in symbiotic harmony---now there's a thought!!

i must admit i've had a love/hate relationship with n-track. i'm trying to record now after laying off since july.well,shit has changed again.i got the latest version d-loaded but when i bring it up it goes back to the 3.1.ver. i basically try to record anything and i get a "ntrack has caused a terminal error and will shut down now". man,why can't it just work when i want it to. i'm saving my money to do an upgrade for something else.i just want it to record when i bring it up.i songwrite and have ideas going at times and i lose them fucking with n-track.arrrgh

slowly, you outgrow your gear,software, etc......one upon a time, the Ensoniq PCI soundcard was good enough....our needs grow, we mature....N-Track has gotten better through most versions, but sometimes our needs/expectations outgrow it.......

I take back my comments on 3.1.7 - it can be tweeked to work well I think. Make sure the 'keep audio devices open' checkbox is unchecked.
