How does this processor add up as an 8-track recorder? does it work as a front end to a DAW thrugh usb? Is it as good as them sellers preach or is it just sent from HELL???!!!!! thanx
You need to get a smart card to get more than about 6 seconds of 8 track recording time.
Also, it is limited to 16 bit digital audio. The digital I/O is in the form of a coaxial S/PDIF out.
I went for a GNX2 as I already had a recording thing and wanted an effects pedal. The GNX2 is great by the way but as far as the GNX3 is concerned, well if you want a DAW, get a DAW and if you want an effects pedal.......
Agree with Dr Simon. Main use for the GNX3 it seems to me is if you do small gigs as a one or two piece and want to play backing tracks - they can be controlled very easiliy from the 8 Track. You get about 40 odd minutes at CD quality with a 128MB card.
