Yep, lot's of folks use 'em and love 'em--me included. It's a quality mic, and while it doesn't sound exactly like the Shure SM57, it's good for the same things. It's midrange bump isn't in the same place, but it sounds great in its own right.

A while back I did an extensive mic shootout of mics used for recording electric guitar. There were like six mics, but the Shure SM57 and the GLS ES57 were two of 'em, so you can at least compare and hear for yourself here:

sounds good to my ears. i think i will pick up a 3 pack. cant beat the price!

Too bad the website doesnt let you order to Canada.

If I remember correctly the owner of speakerepair was on hr. a while back and said you had to buy them on ebay, I'll look into it.
