GK-3 install and initial set-up...I"m getting sound when I'm in guitar mode, (there's power to the pick up by the way), but there's no sound when I'm in synth mode...??? Please help me I am losing my hair right now.

P.S. Sorry for posting this in the guitar forum for the guy who hates that!

Is the MIDI light on the synth showing signal???

MIDI transmit/receive channels???

I see the group bank display, the line selector light, and my LCD screen...where do I find that light?

I don't have the GK but usually Roland puts a little indicator light somewhere to tell you it's sending or receiving MIDI messages. Maybe the GK doesn't have that feature if the pitch>MIDI is done in the GK33 hardware.

On the LCD screen there may be a little flashing something to tell you if it's getting signal through the synth. That's what they do with Boss drum machines.

Gotta manual???

Ya, I read the instructions before installing the pickup, I read the troubleshoot section in the manual for the pedal...I'm thinking the pickup I bought is maybe pooched? I've gone to pg.51 and tried to set the layers, I've set the sensivity in the pick up string by string and still no synth sounds

Got it!

THis may be useful for some dumbass like me in the future...this is copied from the Rolandus.com knowledge base

1. Make sure that you are using the MIX OUTPUTS and not the GUITAR OUTPUT. (The GUITAR OUTPUT will only produce your "dry" or unprocessed guitar sound.

Bitchin! How does it sound??? I always wanted to play around with one of those.
