Dude!

Nice tight cover. I dug on the vox and the gits. Nice vocals (except the backup on the left side, it was distracting ).

You can sing, play and record very well. Might I be so bold as to humbley ask for a King Elvis original?.......please. I'm just curious as to what kinda songs you write and I know they will be recorded and sung well:).

Again,
nice cover, great sound.

Theron.

Cool cover dude!I really like your voice and the recording is top notch to my ears.

You have the same problem as me on doubling those lead vocals. They get out of sync every now and then but not enough for the average listener to catch.

NIce tune.I enjoyed listening to it!;)

All in all, very well done, Bro! I'm with theron on the backup on left being just a tad distracting.

Sounds great !!!

nice chunky low end sound. I'd pan your lead vocals closer together, and lower the volume of one of them...that'll fix your vocal sync problems...not that they're really bad to begin with. Nice simple, but effective gtr leads at 2 min. (which I noticed matched your intro...nice)

yeah...I think plunking the vocals more down the middle, on this tune, with the music spread around them would work best.

9 1/2...good stuff.....especially the loooooong fade. egg salad!!!(excellent). However, I took off the .5 point because the fade DID cutoff abruptly, rather than go to black...

Muchos Gracias

Thanks to all of the great comments and also the feedback on the recording itself. As always, you guys are the greatest. My next post will be an original I promise!!

Muchos Gracias from deep in the heart of Texas

Real fun to listen to. Well played and sung. I heard a couple of syncing issues - but they were rather minor. I really liked the bass sound - real snappy sound and it filled things out real well.

The only thing I would suggest is that at times some of the lead vocals get buried in the guitars.

Cool Cover King.........
I am learning to not comment on mix and level issues because these comp. speakers that Im using just arent any good. I might hear a lacking low end, then read a post from someone who's reference i trust that says that the bass was too heavy. I guess i had better get off my lazy butt and hook some phones up to this thing. Regarding the song though, great cover. I agree w/ Kramer regarding tightening up the double a bit... as well as the comment about moving the lead vocs back toward the middle. Your voice and playing sounds great though. .......the King is alive:) g

Mike, very nice. Well done. No criticizm here!

Your posted home recordings are all of a consistent high quality standard.

I've never heard the original of "Save Tonight", but your cover sounded great!

Now I'd like to hear "#9 Dream" with the "ah bowakowa" part!;)

nice job.. I agree it might be a little light in the low end, but overall you did it good.. I like the vocal sound.. I agree about the panning also..

Hey King,
Are those flood waters affecting you?I saw on the news where it was flooding like crazy in san antonio.

Man, It rained HEAVY for 5 days straight. I normally love the rain but I am ready to dry out. Personally I was not effected other than getting wet every day but it has been pretty bad for some.
Lynx: no problem man, I mean how does one really do justice to a genius like Lennon? I love the man and I love the song so I gave it a try, thanks to all for the listen!!
