awhile back i may have posted about a gig where my P.A. kinda went out,it would be fine then as you sang hard through it it would crap out (during soundcheck)anyhoo we got a borrowed one and the gig went fine ,i get mine fixed cpl resistors and 100$s later its fine we played a wedding party ,did weekly practices forgot and left it on for like a day (i know dumb thing) anyway it's been fine, we go back to the place where it crapped out and 15 mins into soundcheck it kicks off, FIRE HOT, well we had to play for 15 or so minutes let it cool and do another set all nite, everyone is thinking its still messed up .... i take it home and rune for an hour and a half no problem weekly practice no problem did a gig at a diff place last nite 4 hours cool as ice .....what gives with this other place new building so wiring shouldn't be a problem but it clearly is is there anything i can do to prevent what happened we're supposed to play there again but i don't want too ....oh yeah its a peavey combo XR680 300 watt ....thanks

Bring a meter and check the power coming out of the wall. It sounds to me like you are getting a LOT of extra voltage. If that is the case, some electrician fucked up, and the owners of the building need to get them back to fix it.
