I know that there's some info about these on the forum, but not the answers to my questions.

The A137 model is for internal mounting (cable connector is drilled where the strap-pin should be on most guitars).
I've had another internal mic and while I loved it, changing batteries was a pain. Is it hard to change the AA battery on this one?

The external mounting model, such as the A131 has a little preamp box with the battery and cable connector. Where does this box mount? Doesn't it feel bulky, obstructive?

How easy were these to install and how well do you like the sound (without the piezo pickups, I know many combine, but I don't have any).

Thanks!

This isn"t going to answer your Question but it might give you other options...

From reading up on these Mics it seems they are Just Mini Electret Condenser Mics that are Battery Powered.....

For about $20 you can Build one of these Mics yourself with a Better frequency Responce and Range and a MUCH Lower Impedance (Those mics have an Impedance of 10,000 Ohms were the ones I build are between 600 and 2200 ohms)....

I am actually in the Process of Building one of these Mics for My Clasical Guitar and some others for Overheads, I am just waiting for the Parts to show up...I can Build them extremely Small and useing only a couple Watch Batteries for Power and with either 1/4in TRS Connector or with a Ballanced XLR Connector.....

If you are interested in Building one yourself let me Know and I"ll send you some Instructions for Wireing and Needed parts but you will have to construct the Body of the Mic Yourself, Or if you aren"t very Handy I can Build one for you for a Fee, Just let me know the Frequency Range and Responce you are looking for and I will Try to find the best condenser capsule that matches your requirements....It will Probably be a Couple weeks before all the Parts get here and I have started assembly.....

If yer interested just message me.....

Cheers

You know, I already ordered the Washburn ROMP EZ mic, but I'd be interested in having your contact info just in case. You never know when you might need another one.

I used to have a Dillon Wittman (not sure if I spelled it right) Mic-n-Tuner, which clipped on the inside to a brace (with a paper stack clip!) and wasn't visible to others,, but I could tune and amplify my Martin D-15 (loved it), but I sold the guitar, got another, so now I needed another mic.

Who knows when I might need your help! how do I email you? Thanks!
