cool stuff, nice guitar sound, I`m not much of an expert in this geenre but I`ve got lots of friends doing this type of music, and it sounds good compared to them.

Dude! I dig this guitar sound way more than your previous posts! Definitely improving alot. Sounds alot more organic and thick. Good Death Metal too by the way.....givin you some horns!!!!!

Alright man im not going to come in and rain on your parade but in the interest of helping you get even better here is some honest feedback. What you intend to do with these demos may affect whether or not this advice is worth anything or not.
The drums are by far the weakest link IMHO. The kick and snare sounds are pretty bad to my ear and the beats just don't seem very realistic in a few places (not something a real drummer would play). Now if this is all you have to work with thats understandable.I've been there and know how it is to have a real drummer available. Then my suggestion is to work on making the drums sound like they at least have some dynamics. If you can play with the velocity changing up every few hits just a little bit might make a world of difference. As it stands right now, some of the places where you have the ride going basically become one constant tone. There is no decay (i know thats what sucks about programmed drums) and there is no difference in the hit velocity. The other thing that sticks out, is that the Toms cut through and have alot more body on my monitors than the rest of the kit. You may need to bring the snare/kick forward or bring the toms down. I typically try to have the toms hitting around the same db as the snare in most cases. Since all your hits are baiscally the same velocity, it shouldn't be too big of a chore to make this happen.
Guitar tones are much better than previous efforts. Still kind of have that clouded mid-range direct sound but an improvement overall.
With that said, I have followed most of your post and things are definitely improving from what I remember. Hopefully my comments won't come off as negative because they aren't intended to be. These are the types of things I would like to hear when posting. How to make it better and not just "SOUNDS GREAT". Good playing all around BTW.

Dude THANKS!!! This is the type of feedback I am looking for. I have a little bit of control over the drum samples as I can actually replace them all. I have the Drums From Hell sample pack, but haven't used any samples. Do you have any suggestions? I think one of my biggest woes is the samples I am using.

Also one question on panning of drums. At desert moon recording where I did some intern work, we messed with some of my tracks. The engineer split my stereo track into 2 mono and panned hard l and r. This is what Ive done here. It seems to open the drums up a little too much though. Any thoughts on these?

Definately no offense taken bro, as you said if I want press these songs at all I really want to get them as close to pro as possible. I take all these critiques as learning tools so the only direction to go is up. Thanks again bro!

Am I missing something here lol? If you have these samples why are you not using them? DKFH is one of the best sample packs available for metal right now.

The panning hard L and R sounds right. If it sounds too wide then maybe you need to go back and adjust the panning pre-stereo track. Typically my toms are set somewhere around 2 and 11 o clock (if your thinking of a pan knob that is) maybe slightly wider. Overheads I always pan hard left and right, kick/snare right up the center. Of course there are no rules for this and you should do whatever sounds best. This setup seems to work in my experience though.

Just out of curiousity, what are you using for the drums right now?

I am using this software http://www.pcdrummer.com with some samples I developed from the roland electronic drum sample library. The samples were cataloged as "studio samples" but as you can hear they fall a bit short. The software however will let me adjust pans within. Maybe tonight Ill try some of the DFH samples.

You think I should load some of the DFH samples and try again?
 
I haven't done any extensive work with the DKFH samples but based on some of the clips I have heard, I would assume that those samples would be a substantial improvement over the ones your using now. I could be wrong but if you already own them it couldn't hurt to try.
