I just got a copy of Pro Audio 8 and i have no idea what to do, its on my computer, i dont have the box, or anything, just the program. Can anyone direct me to a site that will get me started with this thing. Just a simple walkthrough or something, I know someone can help.

Open the program, go to help, follow the tutorial. BTW, where's the manual?

manual

i have no idea where the manual is. i got the program for free, so im not complaining.

free as in "dont ask, dont tell". friends who just load it to my computer, i accept. it could be the real thing, it could not

Ouch. Ok for the record the "real thing" means you bought it legally. "Or not" means you had a friend install a "cracked" version aka warez hacked etc..

You get points for brutal honesty, but understand that most of us here are registered users who paid the going price for the software, and as such we are not typically inclined to help those who rip the software off.

See, there, I was nice. :)

Now I think I'll go by Circuit City and see if I can sneak a 32" Sony WEGA XBR tv set out under my shirt. LOL

Its comforting to know that in this day and age of rip-off and double dealing that there is a bunch of people in this forum committed to such old fashioned values and beliefs........

Heinz, see if you can sneak me a DVD and mini-player out too!

"but understand that most of us here are registered users who paid the going price for the software"

I know I've paid my share!

hmm, I wonder what the going price for Pro Audio 8 is...

it must be nice to actually be able to afford the real thing, shithead

never said it was ok to steal. but how many of you "preachers of the good word" dont drink, smoke, have sex, curse, gamble, or steal in some way, whether it be taking soda when you ordered water at McDonalds or finding a "loophole" in your taxes. Justify that.

Oh that's rich, now because other people steal and all the other "bad" things you listed (none of which are necessarily wrong or can be equated with stealing in any way), then it's OK?

Apparently you cannot read, because I never said it was ok, I even already mentioned the fact that I never said that stealing was ok. And then, how could you say that none of the things I mentioned are within the same realm of wrongdoing? Aside from the fact that it is purely opinion, all of those things are perfectly horrible, even if they only affect you (some of them that is). Lastly, how does it feel to be a grown man all riled up by some kid who does not even care?

Just looking for a website with a simple walk-through of cakewalk, Tabnak.

File sharing must be moderated, however, never in the history of the world, has it been easier for hard working poor-class people to rise and shine.... i'm not justifying theft. I simply believe that file sharing has given people an equal chance in the recording buisness
