getting started with cubase sx

Hi m8's
Is there an how easy guide to start recording with midi?
I have a midi keyboard, a cubase software and a pc..but I don't know where to start
I have connected up my keyboard to my computer via a usb midi interface...but how do I start playing recording beats?I am totally lost..plz help!

You could start by reading the supplied documentation. Not to be a smart ass. But, you are basically asking for a ground up tutorial on how to use a very complex and powerful software program, configurations, hardware setups, and programming. That's alot to ask, and damned near impossible to answer without writing a book.

Curiosity : If this is your first dive into MIDI, why did you buy this program instead of a simpler, less costly one?

Anyways. Take a look and get a feel for the program and determine what a more exacting problem is and i'll be more than happy to help you through making beats.
