When I use the compressor, the sound will go totally mute for about 1 to 2 seconds in a part of the song. As soon as I turn the compressor effect back off everything is normal again. I don't seem to have this problem with any of the other FX. Anyone know why?

Also, the manual sucks. Could someone please tell me how to start the metronome on this program.

Thanks.

Did you pay for/register the compressor? I believe that if you don't, the sound cuts out every few seconds. I never got the metronome working so I can't help you there. I also never really looked at the manual.

thats it

n track compressor plug in is a demo version with a (nag) so that the sound cut out until you pay tfor the software, try the "classic compressor", works great and its free.

i already posted how to use the metronome, the hard part for me is setting the beat counts, too complicated i close my eyes and mess with it until it sound about the right tempo for me....

metronome

You can open the metronome settings window by clicking on the metronome icon on the toolbar. Set the tempo(like i said i guess , and mess around till i like it), choose MIDI or PC speaker output and if the metronome should be hearable during recording and/or during playback. Click on the test button to hear if the tempo is right. OUTPUT TO: - PC speaker: check this option if you want hear the metronome clicks through the standard PC speaker

Yup... sounds like the demo to me.

I second the Classic compressor.. very transparent. Their Mastering Limiter is good too.

However, the FaSoft comp really is quite nice and well worth the money. Works great as a gate.
