Funny, a guy says I want a really good computer recording set up but I only want to hear from real pros, none of this, you can sound great with just this. Then later on in the conversation the guy says Oh I only want to spend less than 3K. I have a Voxbox mic preamp that cost 5K all by itself. Guy is dreaming....
 
Can anyone explain the significance of have to jump through the hoops of having to post on this thread 10 time before you can post in the other forums?

Been thinking about selling my old 1970's Ludwig set, it sound like crap compared to newer sets.

Richardm - Got a BR864 that I record into dry (no effects of any sort. Have used it for a few years, just to record practicing on assorted instruments. I'm now building songs and plan to move files to laptop to finish with Ntrack and audacity, then choose one to go forward with. Post 1 of 10, am guessing that we're supposed to do this for some reason.
