general midi 2 question

I am using sonar four and like the tts-1 synth bundled with it. It seems very stable and doesn't eat up alot of cpu. My question is, can I purchase more sounds and load them into that synth. My needs seem to be lots of different types of organic instruments instead of lets say synth sounds.

The best you can do is modify existing sounds and save them as user sounds. You can save these sounds in user banks as well. TTS is a vst synth and does not respond to sysex messages, so no, you can't download .sys patches, but you can mangle your own pretty well.
