I have the very first model ever made, a 1980 G&L F100 with a hard tail.
(90% of them had a tremolo, so mine is very rare)

I've owned the guitar since it was new in 1980, so it would be safe to say that I love my G&L.

Some have complained about the direction the company took after Leo Fender died, re-designing most of his guitars. But quality hasn't waned one bit, they're still top-notch guitars and worth the extra $$$ if you can afford it.

I've never owned one, but everyone I had come through my hands was at least good. Most were great.

I have a G&L climax bass and it plays great! My next electric solid body will be a G&L. Those strat style G&L's are works of art. Now if they could build a good arch top, I'd be the first in line, but that's not their fortay.

I have a G&L S500 that was made before Leo Fender passed away. I recently compared it to some of their newer guitars and frankly they are just as good as ever.

I like my S500 and the sound is equivalent to any hot single coil equipped high-end guitar. My only gripe about them is that the selector switch that they put on them needs to be a little heavier.
