does anyone know how to do this.....?

lets say I record a guitar track in sonar, ok...then i add some distortion with fx, now lets say i LOVE how it sounds and I will never want to change it later down the road, how can i implement it into the track so its not always using an fx. like can i record the fx into the track somehow??

hope this makes sense

Select the track, and select Edit -> Apply Audio Effects. :)

Yeah, right.

Unless your computer won't handle the project, do yourself a favor and don't do this. And if your computer can't handle the project, then make a clone of the original track and archive it before applying the audio effect to the original track.

You can thank me later. :)

Moskus gave you the simple answer you were looking for...but I agree with my friend Dachay2tnr, from the "Award winning" Dachays. Never being able to go back and restyle a sound is a scary thought. Just how scary you will find out one day. We've all been there done that, so Clone the track with the fx and then swithch the fx off in the original track (saves on CPU power;) )
