This is the same mic as the MXL603 with the capacitor mod you read of if you search around some of the forums... I modded it myself and I am by no means an expert but I have done a couple kits and stuff and this was easier than any of those... The new capacitors are the two yellow boxy lookin' ones on the left (front) and that clear thing in the middle of the board on the right - sorry to get all scientific on you.
The sound that comes out of it is good if you ask I could probably record some acoustic guitar or something and post it. I took pictures of the inside so you know I didn't destroy the board or anything...
