I sent you guys emails.

*No EMAILS/PM OR ANY CONTACT RECEIVED* Please read the post below very carefully. It contains vital information that will enable you, Chris Klein, to get in contact with me.

Chris,
I still have not received an answer to my PM messages of Friday, 03/18/05 & Saturday 03/19/05.
I sent payment via PayPal on 03/14/05.
I would like to know when/how the items were shipped, including a tracking number. If they have not been shipped, I would like the name & phone number of the store/ people who have the items, so that I can get in direct contact with them..
I sent you my address along with my home & cell numbers via PayPal messaging & in an earlier PM, which you acknowledge receiving. If you do not have the earlier PM, the contact information is still available through Paypal.
I have also included them again, in both the PM & emails I sent tonight. My email address is included in all 3 messages.
If you call & I do not answer, both numbers have a message service & you can leave a message/
If all else fails, you can post your response on homerecording.com for sale forum ( that's this site where you are reading this post)...since, from your postings, it is obvious you have access to that.
Please respond.
btw...this message has been sent to you via homerecording.com PM system, homerecording.com email system, on the homerecording for sale forum & via standard email. Hopefully this will help solve the communication problems that you seem to be having.

My Email: swagon@aol.com

I was thinking about ordering some monitors but, not now. Chris, what is the name and phone # for the music store?

Thanks in advance,
Rob

Just for the record,,,,,,We (Stratosaurus and myself) have not received our items that we paid for yet. Chris has until Wednesday of next week to either get the money back to me or have the Avalon at my door. After that the authorities will be contacted with all the corresponding emails, along with his contact info.
Chris has emailed us and stated he is sorry its taking so long but still promises the items will be delivered. This is yet to be seen.

This is my next step after Wednesday http://www.ifccfbi.gov/cf1.asp
And will also be contacting the local authorities in Michigan.

Peace
Eddie

Hope This Works Out, but Wouldn't Hold Your Breath

I hate people who come in here and run scams. They promise "anything" and give you a low enough price to where it seems legit, but seem like its a great deal.

Then they have the nerve to tell everyone to "chill". Sure, its easy after they got your money to tell you to "chill".

Next time a seller asks me to send a payment first, I'm going to tell them should send the item first, then I'll send payment. Most sellers will probably tell me they won't do that. Hey, that's fine. But then why should I send payment first? Let's see how long a seller would like to wait for replies to emails and PM's after they ship an item first. I'm thinking they wouldn't be "chilling".

Its about trust, and people like this alien arse hole ruin it for legitimate sellers.

F'ing MF'ers like this get what they deserve. Don't wait to contact the police, call them now. You probably won't ever get your money back and they'll sit in jail for a few months. If the police can catch them. More than likely your money just paid for their moving expenses.

Sorry that you guys got scammed.

It seems odd to me that this was a scam, because the OP has been around at least a little while, and can be easily ID'ed by previous posts. Also he turned down the sale of an MD421, stating he didn't have it--a scammer wouldn't do that, he'd take all money offered.

Anyway, hope this turns out OK for those involved

I was thinking the same thing myself. I hope this turns out not to be a scam.

scammers are getting smarter i just had a guy try and talk me down on a item then month later file a chargeback pulled a im a starving student blahblah dont assume anything remember a account can be hacked ....this has got scam written all over it....the delay, the" i didnt get your email "blahblah guys dont hestitate the longer you do the least likely youll get you money back overreacting maybe but he has not filled his end or even attempted to send money back dont feel bad for reporting or at least calling police there to make sure....................................

Just thought I'd thank you guys, on behalf of Pro Tools & myself, for your concerns. We're in communication with him & he doesn't seem to be a scammer...unless he's a really awful one.
For those of you who are worried....I've been doing internet purchases, sells & trade since the mid-90's & this is my first problem. Both Pro Tools & I got all the necessary info that anyone would ask for & all of it has been correct & we're still in contact with him. Overall, I still find the 'net to be a relatively safe place to buy, sell & trade, but this has shaken my confidence a bit.
But.....the only thing I didn't do, that I will in the future, is ask for references from other buyers. I've had so many, in the 100's, of deals go through smoothly, that I guess I got slack on that one.
Again, thanks for your concerns.

Well keep reporting back because I am still considering buying something from him.

I find it amazing that you're still considering it, but just wait, wait, wait!!! I'm sure Pro Tools & I will both give you a full report when we finish our deals.

Well if you guys get your stuff and it turns out not to be a scam then why shouldn't I consider it? I am going to be sure to wait though!

Any more updates?

It's starting to smell like a scam. *sniff sniff*

I wish I'd followed this thread earlier.

Gentleman, this sounds very much like a scam I succumbed to last year and I would suggest that you take immediate action. It's probably too late, but I would still get on it. Call the local police where he lives and notify them. It will be best if you work together.

I sent $900.00 to a guy as half payment for a DPS24 last year. He even sent me a real photo of it. After a very similar round of excuses and lies. I quickly came to the conclusion that he was never going to send me anything. I moved quickly and got the local police involved. I also did some searching on the guy and found out that there were lots of others he'd tried the same thing with. I got as many of them to contact the police as I could and because there were a number of us, the DA prosecuted and got a conviction. I still haven't gotten my money back, probably never will, but at least I know the guy didn't get away with it.

If Chris is true to form, the next thing will be a bunch of bogus shipping information followed with more excuses. The way they attempt to do this is by using the money from one person for the next person. IOW, he'll take person "A's" money and then try to use it to get whatever person "B" wants while stringing them along as long as possible, but it doesn't ever work. After my experience, I've found this same MO being practiced by others. Because of the similarities of their rhetoric, I wonder if there is some "playbook" out there that they all use. It's too much of a coincidence. Each guy sounds almost exactly the same.

Now, there is a slim chance that I could be incorrect. This guy could POSSIBLY be legit, but I seriously doubt it.

Ted

what i was saying ........they should have moved right away even if this guy is legit dont wait by know it clear that he has scammed theres a learning lesson if the product isnt moved right away and sent chances are you not goin to get it is there anyone in the group that lives near this guy post his address here sorry chris times up file a claim with http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp i know everytone invovled feel like w"what was i thinking" i think we all have been takin for money at one time you might get somewhere here this guy has af ew of you thats conspiracy to fraud

Just curious, where in Michigan is Chris? My guy was in Traverse City. I hope it's just a coincidence they're in the same state. Incidentally, if it IS Traverse City, their PD is top notch! They sent someone out to my guy's house the same day I called! Really shook him up.

Ted

You guys are all fucking morons and deserve to get ripped off. Who the fuck sends money over the internet to someone who just popped onto a BBS? The guy as 49 posts. Subtract the 15 that he posted just in response to this thread. Thats 34 by my count. Now subtract about 6 posts he made while waiting for poeple to send money....thats 28.

So you guys sent money to a huy with 28 posts. That isn't enough to be considered a reputable member IMO.

Not to mention he has NEVER posted a single piece of valid information out of those 28 posts anyways. Here is a sample of one of his posts....

A member asks, "samson resolve 65a... are they any good?"

And our Super Seller responds, "ive been looking at them but i have no idea lol."

Holy bageezus. Stop the presses!

Then there are a few more posts of him trying to unload the mBoxes a week or so earlier. So really, is 20 or so "legitimate" posts (I don't know comments) enough to warrant sending money to him?

LFMAO. HAHAHAHAfuckingHA
