Fret buzz recording acoustic guitar :o?

My set up for recording acoustic guitar is;

Acoustic Guitar plugged into M-Audio Mobile Pre USB Audio Interface Preamp thingy. Then that plugs into my computer via USB 2.0...then I record in either Ableton Live Suite or Pro Tools 7.

I've played guitar for 6 years...I NEVER EVER get fret buzz when I play...only in the recording :\

Am I doing something wrong with setting? Or preamp levels. I don't know?

You say your guitar is 'plugged into' the interface - the guitar has a built-in pickup, I assume?
Fret buzz is the sound of the strings hitting a higher fret than the one that is being used - if you have fret buzz you hear it acoustically, not just when you are recording with the pickup.
Try recording your guitar (through the interface) with a microphone. If you don't have a mic you can use, get someone to listen up close to your guitar (acoustically) when you are playing it - maybe you are just not hearing it, but the buzz is there.
Fret buzz can typically be cured by adjusting the action slightly (raising the bridge).

It is what it is. Get some new strings and get the neck adjusted. try, try again

Ahhh yes you are right. My guitar has a pick up in it. The fret buzz is amplified though, it's a lot better when I record with my microphone, you can't hear it unless you trying to hear for it.

My guitar isn't very good, it was only $350 I'm saving up for a real nice one on my birthday, that should sound a lot better.
