free plugins

just got my presonus firestudio project.

installed it on my mac and am now looking for some decent free plugins to try out that will work with a mac (mainly reverbs and compressors) until the supplier ship out all the missing discs that were meant to come with it lol

also looking for tuner plugin as well

any help will be greatly appreciated

hhmmm cant seem to get most mac plugins to work. i am using cubase le. i put the file where it says to and update my plugins in cubase but still nothing. some work some dont.

how do vst differ from the au files?
 
i think

vst=pc
au=mac

that might clear something up?
 
www.kvraudio.com is the place for both free and commercial plugins. If you go to the search page at said link you can select whether you want free or commercial plugins.

It's an impulse plug in, so you can download reverb, or even amp impulses for free.

The only draw back is that it uses up a lot of cpu.

Well well worth a try though.
