Not necessarily. There are offers out there, that require you to sign up for a bunch of stuff, and they do send you the premium. Go to scam.com, there are recipies for getting all kinds of stuff for pennies on the dollar.
The catches are: you need to be extremely organized about cancelling accounts, you end up providing information to marketers, and the better premiums are always tied to signing up for credit cards, which impacts your credit rating, whethyer you accept the card or not. Not worth it to me, but if you're not planning on doing any serious borrowing for the next 7-10 years, go nuts.
