Yeah it kills the high and lows, but i'm loving it on the drum bus

hmmmm -- I'll have to try it on drums - I threw it on a lead vox track and it uh, well, uh, sucked hardcore........Lovin the URS plugs though. :)

Only just found this thread now. Yes - this is a REALLY cool plugin. At Ford's suggestion I tried it on snare and WOW that thing is awesome. I wanted to add a bit more authority to some programmed samples and it brought the snare hits to life in a way I hadn't got from any of my other compressors.

Great link, and this plugin should be made mandatory for everyone. I am intrigued by the suggestion to use it on guitars that are too 'bassy' ... I seem to end up with a lot that way and so it is of great interest to sort that out!!!

Downloaded this a week or so ago, just got around to trying it. Awesome! Can't wait to try it out on some more stuff.

Meh.
Not massively impressed with it meself. Had it on some vocals & they sounded rubbish.
Guess I'll just keep it around for the day I decide I want "phil Collins" Drums.

Gonna take a punt on PSP Vintage Warmer plug instead.

Thanks

Thanks for the link :D I just put it in Tracktion will try it out later:cool:

I like it on percussive stuff but man it takes a HELL of a chunk out the CPU usage.

PIV 3.0, scooped 13% performance on the meter for 1 instance in Cubase SX2

Use sparingly!

I haven't experienced it that bad yet but point taken. It does have a HPF in it somewhere so for kick drum run it off a send and mix it in, or put it on a doubled track and bring it up a bit.

Tired of mix I've been working on forever, I threw the LMC on a piano just for grins, and discovered another clever use! Set at about 11:00, and run just a little hot on the input yields a great Obla-di Obla-da piano sound :D Which is totally useless for what I'm working on :o :o :o

Watch it like a hawk though, it likes to pump here :(

Somebody help me, I'm about to use this thing on a thin but pure, sometimes off pitch soprano. Gotta dirty her up to fix her :o

This is the best $0 I ever spent :D
