Do you need eight pres? or would you be better suited to one good pre?well my lock box in my room has 570 dollars in it
Youll get way lower possible latency with the MOTU
Another option is the new Presonus Firestudio Project. This has upgraded A/D D/A converters over the existing Firestudio and has the XMAX preamps.
This would be my choice!
Or you could go the route of the EMU 1212M + M-Audio Octane! $119 + $488
4dB more an the DAC side and 7dB more on the ADC side, Thats not alot, and the big boy Firestudio has XMAX preamps and way more routing capabilities....
26 IO vs 10 IO basically the Firestudio project is a glorified FP10, no word clock, no ADAT lightpipe you get what I mean.
Also, I own two Firestudio's, the 26 IO model. so Im not dogging Presonus
