STUPIDLY loyal, skilled engineer with LOTS of gear and great resume/references...also a skilled technician

Are you a hobbyist ready to jump to the next level ?

Must be willing to SERIOUSLY chase business, or provide a salary

Must be VERY honest, and understand that I will try only to do the right things, even if it costs us money. NOT in the business of screwing people or lying to get business

Must have FOOD :)

Lax emissions laws areawise ( for my car )

for the third time I find myself in a position where i am doing ALL I CAN on my end( the engineering/studiocare/upkeep/required knowledge side of it) while the booking agents just arent chasing business...

those who know me know I have VERY modest living requirements and am comfortable living on TRULY next to nothing. Right now nothing is about all I have after bills and equipment costs.

if you are willing to be SERIOUS and take yourself VERY seriously as providing the BEST possible quality for the buck, while earning an ( almost ) liveable wage, let me know....Im all open to suggestions at this point, not too sure how the next few months will play out

Howdy, well shit, my wife is the best cook this side of mississippi. What I don't have is the space yet. Actually, I'll find out tomorrow whether I do or not. I think. I have an offer on a house/property, and a refinance in progress. Enough shit to stress me to the max.Wish I could help you out right now. Believe me, I would. Don't know what you have in mind. Talk to me. If your not kiddin. Email me-cadesignr@rcsis.com

did you miss the part about lax emissions laws ? :)

oh well, I bet its nice there...how far are you from fresh water with animals in it ?

folsom lake is about 6 miles. Real nice. Citrus Heights sucks. Thats why I have an offer on a house and property in Coos Bay Oregon. And the smog laws suck. Thats why I fixed up a little 73 datsun, just so I wouldn't have to pay any more smog fees to this F....ng state. I'd rather spend it on you know what:D

73 is exempt? thats what year my 340 4 speed duster is !

Cool, come on out, I've got a trailer out front, for temporary shelter. Good food, nice lake. Don't know what kind of animals your talkin bout, maybe fish? Plenty. Sacramento is full of music rivers, and opportunity. Its an offer. Don't know what your up against, or what you need or looking for. But its here if you need it. Its not much, but when your hungry, the fridge ususally has goodies in it!:D Anyway, give me a holler if need be.

Well hell RICK, I'm sitting here right next to you in Orangevale on Madison and Main! So when we gettin' together?

And pipelineaudio, I have a very modest and small studio in my convetered garage, but it seems to grow daily. You'd sure die to find-out what I'm temporarily mixing on until my console is really! It certainly isn't "booming" what so ever YET, but I plan on making it! In fact, I have to as it's been my only source of income for a year now...

Haven't been doing all that much this past year in recording because I've been remodeling the studio, but I got the main stuff done a couple of months ago and have started to record again; just a temporary set-up until I can get all the soldering done. I HAVE to get on some advertising now though as the bills are piling-up .

Oddly enough, I've been looking for someone, well, not really looking, but I've felt it'd be better to start a studio with a partner. I have a friend who does most sessions with me. While he was going to Heald and now while he has an on-call very part-time job, he has the time, but in a couple of years when he really gets into his field (desktop and network support), he won't be all that available; though he'd rather be in the studio than some office.

Anyhow, I plan to keep running out of the garage until I have enough business to lease a place for the studio in a few years.

I really don't have much to offer and I certainly don't have a salary for ya, if you're interested in getting together with a guy who has a passion for music recording and wants to do it for a living (Which here in Sacramento means start your own studio or move to Los Angeles and try to get into a few intern positions before actually getting into the recording what so ever), then I'd be be that guy.

By the, I'm only 23 and still living at home (it's cool) because of my choice to try and really get this studio off the ground!

Email for my phone number. We can at least talk.

Hello Weston,(that is your name right)Wow, tooooooo good. I had a print shop right on the corner there a couple of years ago. This is fantastic. I don't get out much, and therefore don't connect with much local stuff. But I have played guitar professionally in this town for over 25 yrs. And yes, I am an old fart. 57. Still feel like whippersnapper, or can't you tell. My wife says "You are not acting your age", when I post here. Oh well.
Once music is in your system, you can't get rid of it huh? And recording. I started getting interested in the 60's. Had the first fender reverb and echo plex in town. Fooled around with goofy stuff for years. I'm still no pro by any means. Its pretty much of a hobby for me, although studio design is what I'm really interested in. I post all the time
in the studio building forum.
So when we gettin' together?
Ha! As soon as possible, if you don't mind conversing with an old fart. I can help with a lot of things. I worked at SKIPS MUSIC for 3 years in the 80's. I hate walking in there now though. To many stuck up noses. When he started, he had nothing. I'm the one who built just about everything in his store. I'm a store and fixture designer. Oh well. Ok, I'll email ya. Thanks for the note. You can email me at cadesignr@rcsis.com. I have some pretty exciting things happening in the studio design area. I'll tell you about them. BTW, I'm real eager to see and hear your stuff. Don't ever see anyone elses in person. Maybe you can teach me some stuff, ok?
cheers, fitz

Hey RICK FITZPATRICK

It was cool meeting you last night... Wish I would have more time with ya before band practice and that there was more room for ya in the studio instead of sitting in the control room. I had thought about telling you to move to the door-way; just never did as usually we're going in/out using the bathroom or getting something we left in our guitar cases or cars or something. Didn't once that practice though... Of course... Then again, that whole practice was a little weird.

Anyhow, I'd love to come check-out your set-up sometime if you'd have me. We can talk more in detail too instead of me having to rush for practice.
