In this age of digital this, and MIDI that, and soundcard everything else, I was just wondering who still walks the total analogue road??? Who still uses nothing but their 4 or 8 track portastudios or reel to reels (or any other tape recorder) without falling into that area of "dumping it onto my PC"??? What are you guys recording with??? And remember, I'm asking only those of you that DO NOT have anything DIGITAL in there at all, just the good ol' tape machine. Nothing have I against digital recording, just a bit curious as to how many others out there prefer that old fashioned warm, full sound of tape!!! Thank you.... Steve :D

Like I've stated many times b-4, I use 4-Alesis ADAT Multi-track
recorders for 32 tracks!

ADAT"S RUUUULLLLEEE!!!!! 20 bit digital recording to tape!!!!
What more can I ask for!!! ('cept an Alesis HD24 digital recorder)

Bought a Delta 1010 to replace my TSR-8, but I find myself using it just for mixdowns nowadays. Upgrading your front end (mics especially) does a helluva lot towards improving the sound you get out of tape. I'm currently using a '61 issue Oktava ML-16 ribbon and it sounds terrific on the eight track. Ya gotta maintain the machine though!
