Focusrite Trakmaster + EMU 1212m >, =, < Mbox?

I need to get a firewire interface and someone offered me an original Mbox + KRK Rokit 5 mons for my Focusrite Trakmaster and Emu 1212m. I'm willing to take that trade, but would that be a good decision? Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

Hmmmmmm....I'd think carefully about that unless you have a desperate need for monitors and have other channel strips at your disposal. I have the Mbox and am not impressed. They boast of focusrite pres but they aren't anything close to the high end pres focusrite used to make. Mbox is also limited to 48k sampling rate, unless that has changed recently. You know what u need the most....just my 2c worth.

Check ebay to find the going rate / market value of the gear in question.

Make sure you're not on the losing end of a trade that isn't even value.

From there, just decide what's more important, or what you need more in terms of features. How important are the monitors in relation to what you'd be giving up? That kinda' thing.
