Floyd Rose hard to push down.

It only has two springs in it ala EVH, but it is stiff! It won't even go down to the body. It's a regular not a recessed.

I'm gonna block it with a small piece of wood so it only goes down not up. don't the trems usually go to the body fairly easy?

Did you check the spring tension? There should be some screws to adjust inside the body...the ones that the springs are attached to. back them out some if you can, and see what happens.
