hi. does anyone know of any fixed scsi hard drives (like quantum fireball or seagate barracuda) that work with the fostex fd-8?

if you do, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE email me at ghetto3jon@hotmail.com

thanks!

I think that pretty much any scsi hard drive will work with the fd-8 as long as it's the right scsi.
When I got mine I was using a zip 100 drive first, then a friend gave me an old apple 1 gig scsi hd and it has worked flawlessly,
even though it isn't on fostex's list of hd's.

The current list of supported hard drives can be found here on the Fostex international web site (the US site is useless, and has no real technical info):

http://www.fostex.co.jp/int/hdlist/media.html

That probably isn't all that will work, but you know that everything on it will. Hope that helps...

thanks for the replies. how about this...does it have to be a scsi-2 interface? is the any difference between scsi and scsi-2?
