Have you tried contacting the manufacturer? They'll probably fix it for free, all you have to do is pay postage.

i don't think they will its not under warranty and i don't think they will since i broke it. will it hurt if u put nail glue to connect it just a thought?. thanks

Soldering a good joint is easy to learn. If you are running a studio or just screwing around with a four track, or gigging, it is a skill you should learn.

You'll be able to fix mic cables, guitar cables, and the bad connection in your mic.

Go to RatShack and get the book on soldering they sell. They also have cheap soldering kits with a 30 watt iron and accessories.

ok well i put nailglue on it like early yesterday and i'm worried that i fucked it up for good i'll check out the book. Do you think the mic is jacked up if i cleaned that little metal peice with rubbing alchohol/ nail polish remover to get the nail glue off. what if its on the wire i think i pretty much got the nailglue off?

If Liquid Nails is what you used, it doesn't take to metal very well because it is not porus. You should be able to gently chip it off of the contact. You may try an Exacto knife and failing that you may be able to crush it gently with some long-nosed pliers. It will crumble off of the contact.

Rubbing alcohol will not take this stuff off. Acetone might, but it will take a while for it to disolve.

If you got it on the wire and you have enough of it, cut off the contaminated piece and strip a clean end.
