Lolz. Fottuto!

I've got some of my really angry, teen-angst, hate-school, kill-the-cheerleaders punk rock from the late 80's on tape. I need to get this shit out to the world.

Okay, found some on a harddrive.

These were done 97-98-ish. I don't really remeber the details. My first attempts at multitracking as a solo performer in the digital realm in my buddies garage. No click tracks, one microphone, terrible sounds, no vocals, too much reverb. Enjoy. :)

Sleepwalk

Sabre Dance

This is what its all about....you used to be a cheesy fifities band..and dude wheres the drums? ;)

then sabre dance *cough*

(better guitar playing than me still though lol)

excellent Greg...these are pretty bad/funny..at least they were 12 years ago!

thanks for sharing :)

Lol. Yeah they're horrible. I love em. I should redo Sabre Dance. I'd pwn the fuck out of that bitch now.

HA! I love this! Actually "Sleepwalk" is pretty fucking cool. The reverb is perfect. "Sabre Dance" is awesome, too. They were both cool.

This was done on a 4-track right before I found this place. Then I think I messed with it in the computer. I think this is the first recording I ever did partially in the box, because that's the only thing that explains having "drums" on it.

The little kid that sounds like Michael Jackson in the background is my daughter, and she was 11, I think. So about 10 years ago...I didn't even own a bass, so I don't know where the low end came from on this. The really bad stuff is on cassettes, and I don't have a deck anymore, so those won't make it into this thread...but they're fucking awful, so I'm sorry I can't make that happen.

Lol. Thanks. I wish I remember the specifics of recording those two. I only remember the night doing it, and being mesmerized that someone could multitrack like a real studio in a garage with a computer. And then we obviously added shitloads of reverb to everything.

this should be stickied...I believe there better/worse to come :)

There is nothing older except cassettes...but I'll take that as a compliment. I fucking rule!!! Or...I USED to rule 10 years ago!!!!

Alright Kcearl, I'll play your game, but I'm not going back to the hair days. I'm just gonna go with my first post on this forum when I joined just 1 year ago. This was my first attempt at recording my voice and the whole home recording stuff. I got lots of pointed feedback from this and promptly regressed since then :D.

PS edit etc...that was good, i enjoyed that...nice n poppy

Lol. Holy fuck, here's another. This one actually aint even that bad. I mean, it's bad, but it kind of sounds cool. I remember this one pretty well. Same guys garage, around the same time as the other two I posted up. Probably a little bit later because it seems to sound a little better. I wanna say spring of 98. I used a Strat and a Tele. Epiphone ES-335 looking F-hole bass. I remember using my old white Rogers kit with a mic hanging straight down from the rafters. One ride cymbal, one crash, no toms. The shouts are real, as in, really shouted as I was playing. I'm pretty sure I was on LSD when we did this. Lol. It's mono - for some reason.
