Not too shabby. Very noisy and lofi sounding recording though. What did you record with? As far as the playing, the rhythm stuff was pretty decent. The solo work was good, but maybe you should try wiggling that left had a little bit.

Hi SlackMaster
Thanks for the reply.
I used a Realistic Mic (vintage but, high quality....well .....as high as Realistic goes.)
The mic was fed into a Fender Bullet reverb amp and I used the Headphone jack as the line out to the line in on my soundcard....Riptide.
The software is from E-magic....discontinued now.
It is hard disk recording with limited effects and no filters of any sort for 8 tracks.

I did this about 4 months ago.......
a long time before I found this board.
I will most definitely re-record and I will indeed wiggle that left hand a little more on the lead.
Thanks again

That's a quality song. Though a bit noisy. It's better than anything I could do up until a few months ago. BTW who wrote that song. I want to look up a tab for it.

Hey Hoky,
It is my own composition.
All of my music is my own.

I have to learn how to record better and get some better gear.
Thanks for the kudos and the reply.

Nice atmospheric tune. I like the sound you got on it. I'd like to hear it minus the noise and occasional distortion.

Thanks man,
Hopefully soon I will have the gear / software I need.....
Gotta deal with the wife as far as budget goes....
right now the budget is $0.00
Gotta work on it though...

That's great! Do you have it written down? Do you mind e-mailing me a copy? If you don't want to I'll understand. I promise not to record it for public listening.

Hi Hoky,
No I would not mind but, I have one problem....
I don't know how to write it down.

The guitar was tuned two steps down....
started with a Dm7 progression....
moves to a F progression....
then C (adding the 7th...I think?)

then G....F....Dm7

If I could write it down,,,,I would.
I sorta play by ear....especially on leads....it's all improv.

Later,
Joe

Thanks Joro. If I know or at least have contact with a person who writes a song, I like to ask them before I try and figure it out. Just in case they don't want anyone recording it first(I'm not going to record this).
