This is the first music file I've ever uploaded. (The only one at this point.)

http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/album.php?aid=3924&alid=-1

It's an untitled, country-ish sketch that will soon be re-tracked with real drums. I kept it simple because I'm doing some of these things for the first time. Maybe some day I'll come up with some lyrics.

Please give a listen and let me know what you think.

Sounds good to me Eddie. Very clean mix. I like the sound of the panned acoustic...well played. I like em simple like this. Once you get the drums in there, it'll be ready for the vocals. Good job.

Man those guitars are so sweet and silky. Great Job man. Nice tune too.

Thanks for replies and compliments. The guitars are double-tracked nylon string.

Hey Be Loveless, I used to be a Baltimoron myself! West-side around Randallstown area. Whereabouts are you?

East SIde Baby! Grew up in Overlea. Currently live in a wharehouse near Belair Rd. and Erdman. Work at the famous CLubCharles. (where john waters hangs out occasionally). Don ged on oud ta Randallsdown too much an shit. Went to (gasp of shame) Calvert Hall High School
Nylon Strings huh. Buying a nylon string guitar has been passing through my brain for awhile, those tracks are helping to convince me to do so.
Alride den take care dere den Hon. Keep rotating your "tars", changing da "ul" and warsh yer dishes in da "zinc"

Hey E,
Sounds nice! Do you have anyone in mind to track the drums yet?
If you don't I'd consider doing a collaboration and email a track if your format and mine is compatable.

No pressure, I have just been interested in broadening my horizons musically from the Jazz/Funk/Folk stuff I have been doing for a long time.

If interested email me:

Thanks Tom, that's very kind of you to offer. But I'll be using the drummer from the classic rock cover band I play in, Aftershox. In fact, we'll be tracking tomorrow morning and afternoon, then pack up for a gig that night.

I liked the one with brushes. Cant really give any mix advice 'cause i lo-fi'ed it. But,..in lo-fi the guitars sounded thin. But everyone else says they sounded sweet. Maybe its just a lo-fi thing. But i have heard that your mix should sound good in mono as well as stereo. Maybe there is phase problems with the double tracked guitars. I'm not sure,...I'm no expert.
Well,..thats my 2 cents.

Take 'er easy,..
Calwood

Good point Calwood. I did not test my mix in mono!

After adding real drums I retracked everything: guitars, bass, lap steel.

Hells bells! My hard drive crashed last week and I had no recent backup. Lost some tracks and mixes for good, including the ones I uploaded to nowhereradio.com Of course, I still have the audio CDs I burned them to. In any case, I will have to retrack gutiars and lap steel. I still have the drum tracks on tape.

Did anyone notice the 4th of July rocket whistle on the sticks version? About the 10th bar. Someone fired off a bottle rocket in the 'hood while I was recording guitar. I didn't even notice it until much later. I'm real sorry I lost that one.
