Thanks, guys! I'm trying a different micing scheme for recording the guitar, as dictated by the room's size limits: 2 mic at the far corners of the room in a x-pattern and a CP-1 up close to the guitar, above the sound hole at the neck.
The room's about 12x12, with 2 keys, a rack, a computer desk(with junk),7-slot guitar stand, huge bookshelf, 4 2x10 cabs, a bass combo, small guitar amp, 3 boxes of 'shit' and a cat. Because of the drunken nature of the builder of the house, the room is somewhat accidentally isolated from the rest of the house.
I was suprised it worked so well. I was a little disappointed by the sound I was getting from John's guitar in the dining room, but I thought this was going to be worse, so one again, I'm glad to wrong. However, it is a bitch to reach the upper range of the keys.
