I also got the not authorized....so I am here.

Sounds pretty funky, with a nice rock vibe coming from the guitar.
"Assholes..."....I like that. The lyrics are great...sort of tells what's going on at this time.

The mix is pretty good, and I like the sounds you have. As always, stellar bass playing, and I really enjoy the way the guitar and bass are different.

Fun tune Larry...Nice job man.

Nice one, Glad that link worked. I really liked this. I think i told you before that you sound like Sam Elliott. I like that style of Talk/singing, really good mood setter. Good Job! :)

Thanks, guys! I'm trying a different micing scheme for recording the guitar, as dictated by the room's size limits: 2 mic at the far corners of the room in a x-pattern and a CP-1 up close to the guitar, above the sound hole at the neck.
The room's about 12x12, with 2 keys, a rack, a computer desk(with junk),7-slot guitar stand, huge bookshelf, 4 2x10 cabs, a bass combo, small guitar amp, 3 boxes of 'shit' and a cat. Because of the drunken nature of the builder of the house, the room is somewhat accidentally isolated from the rest of the house.
I was suprised it worked so well. I was a little disappointed by the sound I was getting from John's guitar in the dining room, but I thought this was going to be worse, so one again, I'm glad to wrong. However, it is a bitch to reach the upper range of the keys. :)

The guitar is pretty natural sounding. I'd say it worked. :)

Very cool. Excellent acoustic rhythm gtr part. Vox are great but I'd prefer them less processed sounding and fitting more with the naturalness of the ac gtr.

Well, if you don't mind the opinion of someone with far less experience, I have to say I found this one very entertaining.
I almost think you have two separate songs here. I love the lyrics (laughed out loud at the Mel Gibson line...not that he hasn't been made fun of plenty already, but this was perfectly placed and sung so matter-of factly that its great), and I love the bass guitar-acoustic rhythm guitar arrangement. However, they seem like an odd pairing. The lyrics seem like they should be accompanied by angrier music than this. As you suggested, this music might fit better with more sentimental lyrics. I don't know...its either clever irony or just not a good fit...either way, I really like it. Thanks for sharing it.

All I'd ask for is a little more bass vol OR definition. there's such a lot of cool burbling about from the bass that I'd like to hear more - the bass line reminds me of a lot of the stuff on Ian Hunter's All American Alien Boy album (about 77 I think).
COOOOLLL
Oh, lyrically this is smart & funny - I like the contrast & tension betwixt da woids and da muzuc.

Weired thats all I have to say. Your way of singing is very interesting. Not my cup of tea but im sure it could be someones and I think your studioette did pretty good but those drums sound a little too fake I like my real drums :D.

Thanks for checking it out!
Dogman- Thanks again, dude!

Timothy Lawler - When I get John singing again, I hope to make it sound more natural. I always disguise my voice cause it gives me the creeps.

heatmiser- Thanks, I agree about the words not matching the music. I just wanted something there to get some idea of how vocal are gonna work in here.

rayc- Ya' know, I always have problem getting the Conklin to sound like it does live, unless I mike it. I usually use the G&L for home recording, but I need to change the battery in that.

DAS19- Yeah, those drums are about a fake as it can get, but I don't think fit a drummer in here. But, I did manage to stick 3 cabs and a bass head in the living room(without raising a big fuss) and there's more room in here. Maybe I can sneak enough stuff into other areas of the house and make more room. At least, enough for a Cocktail set, maybe.

Excellent lbanks. I love the tone you have on the guitars and drums. The bass is very deep, it works, but like rayc I prefer a little more definition. The guitar solos are very spacey....The lyrics are very good - I said uh huh a few times while listening......

:) :D :) :D

Thanks! Those guitar solos are a gas! They're really the same stuff I play when someone demands a bass solo. I play guitar with my fingers, like a bass, because I can't play with a pick. Last time I tried, I almost put my eye out. :D :D
