HI all

I'm recently inversting in a mac book pro, and i've been recently writing alot of electronic music. I want to record audio outside the computer aswell as using alot of soft synth and want a mixer that can record the outside sources.

I also want it to be able to control the sounds inside the mix (ones that have been previously recorded and soft synths) so i can get the mix sounding good in programs such as garageband so i dont have to use the little gain slide inside the program and control it outside of the computer with ease

I'm new to all this so i was wondering what type of mixer i would need. I'm presuming audio interface built it? and the cheaper the better (would behringer be able to make it)

Thanks,

Jedders

The zoom one looks good especially for the price! :O

But can you get any with more track controllers or could i get two and have 16 or so tracks to control???

Yes. While you cannot record all 16 tracks onto one deck at once, you can daisy chain two (for power, I think) and have a pair of 8 separate tracks. This is a great little device: I just wish Zoom had come out with it a year earlier.

that does look excellent...I wonder what the sound quality's like

the fact that it can be used as a control surface as well is such an obvious thing to do..brilliant

The last tune I put up in the mp3 clinic was done entirely on the R16.
THe sound quality is quite good.

so if i was performing/creating on abeleton live i could mix the tracks together and turn off the uneeded ones.... i record each track individualy (minus drums) so it shouldn't be a problem
