the drums sound really good, what are u using to record those

the vocals are lacking in quality, sounds like you are using a stage mic to record

the song overall lacks bass and the guitars dont have that kick to em, that may just be the amount of distorion, how are you recording the guitars

Music sounds pretty good to me. Good drums, and I like the guitars. Vox could use some more depth....they seem a bit thin. Not enough bottom end to me. The screams are ok, but the main is thin. (don't know how you eq'd it. ) Is it one vocal track, or more?

Thanks PokerDude and Dogman.

For the drums I used 4 Beta-56's on the toms and snare. JoeMeeks JM-27's on Overheads. The Kick was a Superlux PRA-218b. Into a behringer ADA8000.

I didn't spend a lot of time on the vocals. It was getting late.
The vocals are one track recorded with a Beta-57. I have another vocal track to play with.

Thanks again...

Sounds good, the guitars are wee bit thin, get some more body on them.

The bass could use some more punch, so that it satnds out a bit more.

Vox could need a little tender lovin mixin, just try leveling them a bit more even, maybe add some more verb on the clean vox.

anyway jsut some humble suggestion, I liked the track nice energy, good playing, good recording.

Your setup looks waaaaaaayyyyyyy better than mine :o

Cheers mate

Ah, then the vox sound pretty good for one track. Just give em some depth, and they should fit real well. Good job man....

yea, i think the guitars sound like theyre too far from the mic or not enough low end...

Hey Timboz...I have to second (or third or forth) what evereyone said. The drums sound good. Nothing else sounds BAD, but it could use some meat, though I'm not really sure what I mean by that, technically.

RAMI said my drums sound good.. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I think the only other complement that can top that would be
We need more cowbell from George Massenburg.

The thing that sucks with that mix is I did not save the session. :( :(

You can always use more cowbell and accordian..........mix was a little thin but, I liked it!!! :D

BTW, timboZ, nice setup. What differences do you notice from AA 1.5 to 2? I have 1.5, but don't mix in it anymore...I use Sonar. Is 2.0 worth getting?

BUSS and FX routing is sweet. Still learning the In's and outs of it.
It has not crashed on me yet.
I do need to upgrade my memory. It uses a lot more memory. (I have 512 meg gonna add another gig)

I just got it last week. A late birthday present form my in-laws. :D :D :D

I should have a new mix up sometime tonight.

Sweet...I think I saw they will upgrade for $129, if I read it right. I may pop for it.

I agree, Drums are great .... the guitars are too far back, bring them more upfront, Multiband them maybe ....the mic used for the vocals maybe needs replaced ....

I cant get him to sing into a LDC mic.
He has to hold it while he paces back and forth...

I think the new mix is better, but could use a bit more low end. Maybe pull all the highs down some, and then make teh whole thing a few db louder...see if that helps and keeps it from getting muddy.

As far as the singer, let him hold his mic, and sing into it, but set up an LDC to capture teh sound also....might help some.
