First metallic instrumental attempt

Like the title says, it's my first attempt at making an intrumental(really, I'm just tired of attempting to sing ). Anyway, hows the mix?

Real good playing. Very tight. It was cool in the intro with the panning and reverb, and then it dried up when things kicked in. Balance of the tracks seem good. No nits on the guitars. They sound good.

I guess the drums fit the genre. I've just never got in to the robot-speed-fill stuff. But that's just me. They sound pretty canned. Every snare hit is exactly the same, etc.

But that's it. Mostly pretty good.

I'm using loops with slight adds and accents, but that's becoming my Achilles. I am going to need to do some research on my drum options.

I had a hard time placing the bass on this one. I usually use a rat to dirty it up, but i feel it didn't work on this track so I went dead clean with some comp, but now I think it's too boomy. Just me?

Anyway, thanks for the complements and critiques, I really appreciate it.
