Thanks Halion, he'll be back next week to do more tracks so I'll break it to him gently. He's always open to suggestion, very easy to work with.

Anyway...I got my Wharfdale Diamond 8.2 Pro Actives today.....last pair in the shop and one had a defective blue power led (it doesn't light) so my friendly salesman knocked £25 off giving me them for £224.99...couldn't find them anywhere in the UK for under £250. Took them home and put them up on my old speaker wall mounts....and the front bracket covers both leds so you'd never know :D

Spent the day geting familiar with my CD collection, absolute night and day from what I was hearing before. Very tight, controled bottom and crisp well defined highs....music to my ears. Tomorrow I'm gonna remix all 5 tracks from the session and I'll post up the new mixes of PENNY and STAR for anyone to compare if they want to.....I know Finster's eager to hear the difference.

I'm away to do more familiarising with my CD collection

Alec

You really pluck the shit out of that thing...You may want to move the mic back just bit more next time. There's almost no subtlety. It's all in your face and sounds like your right next to my ear playing rather than in the same room with me. All those levels must be maxed just below the points of clipping. I don't know how you would fix that. I've got to remember what mic you used so I never use one. Other than that, the performance was great and the song was very enjoyable. Beatle-esq and somber. Your voice is real good for this type of stuff, but could have used a bit more compression, but that's a matter of taste, I think. Good job.
